Why Capri for this

Your passport is your licence. Capri is under 7.5 m and runs under 10 knots, so NSW asks for no boat licence — just an adult with photo ID and half an hour with us at the wharf.

Lilyfield is closer than it sounds. A light rail stop, a rideshare drop at Le Montage, or a walk along the Bay Run — about 15–25 minutes from the CBD by car, traffic depending. We text you the pin.

A day that works

  1. Arrive and induction

Passports for the drivers, lifejackets fitted, toilets at the pontoon. Thirty minutes in plain English.

  2. Cast off

Out of Iron Cove past Balmain’s sandstone and Cockatoo Island, then slow under the Bridge.

  3. The Opera House from the water

From Farm Cove, outside the exclusion zone. Then Kirribilli House across the way.

  4. Back at the wharf

Or text us for a fourth hour at $100 and swim on the way home.

Questions, answered

I don’t have an Australian licence. Can I really drive?

Yes. Capri needs no boat licence under NSW rules. A passport and being 18 is enough, plus the 30-minute induction.

How do we get to Lilyfield from the city?

Rideshare to Le Montage, Maliyawul St (about 15–25 minutes from the CBD, traffic depending), or the L1 light rail to Lilyfield and a walk along the Bay Run (walking time TBC).

Can we get close to the Opera House?

Yes — from the water off Farm Cove, outside the Circular Quay exclusion zone. Under the Bridge is fine too, slowly.

Do you take international cards?

Yes. Pay online by card through Stripe when you book; you’re confirmed instantly.

Is three hours enough for the icons?

Yes, at harbour speed with a drift at the Bridge. Add a fourth hour for a swim stop.

What if we don’t know the harbour?

Your induction covers the hire area, speed zones and where the toilets are, and it’s all on the map we hand you. Text us from the water any time.
