Why Capri for this

It’s yours. Eight of you, your playlist through the towers, and nobody else on the boat. The trampoline at the bow is the group shot; the couch is where the stories come out.

It’s daytime, in the sun, with a swim. Cast off mid-morning, cruise the icons, swim at a netted pool, dry off on the trampoline. Everyone is home for dinner — or on to the next thing.

A day that works

  1. Arrive and induction

IDs for the driver, hats on, prosecco into the iced esky.

  2. Cast off

Out of Iron Cove past the Bay Run, then under the Bridge and past the Opera House.

  3. Swim

Dawn Fraser Baths at Balmain is the closest netted pool. Dry off on the trampoline.

  4. Home or extend

Back at the wharf, or a fourth hour at $100 if the boat is free.

Good to know

  • The driver stays under 0.05 for the whole hire, or ask about a skipper.
  • Decorations tied down. No glitter, confetti or loose balloons.
  • Shoes off on deck — flat sandals for the wharf, bare feet on board.
  • Sashes and hats are fine; inflatables only if they stay on the boat.
  • Eight people is the limit, kids included.

Questions, answered

Can we all drink?

Everyone except the driver, who stays under 0.05 — same as the road. If nobody wants to drive, ask about a skippered cruise (price TBC).

Can we bring prosecco?

Yes — into the iced esky. Or pre-book the sushi, ice and prosecco add-on 48 hours ahead (prices TBC).

Can we decorate?

Bunting and a banner on the canopy frame, yes. Glitter, confetti and loose balloons, no — the harbour keeps them.

Do we need a boat licence?

No. One of you drives after a 30-minute induction — you need to be 18 with a car licence or passport.

Can we swim?

Yes — a netted pool like Dawn Fraser Baths at Balmain is inside the hire area. Towels on board.

What if the weather turns?

We check the Rozelle Bay wind forecast at 7am on your day. If it’s over 25 km/h, there’s a BOM warning or it’s under 15 °C, we call it off — you reschedule for free or take a full refund.
