By hiring a vessel from Bizfunfu Pty Ltd trading as Sydney Charter Boat Hire (SCBH), you, the hirer, agree to the following terms and conditions and acknowledge your responsibility to comply with all maritime laws and safety regulations.


1. Booking & Payment

  • Full payment, including training fees and any upgrades, must be made to secure your booking.
  • Payments must be completed prior to arrival via invoice through PayPal.
  • No cancellations are allowed within 4 days of the booking time.
  • Cancellations due to unsafe weather conditions (see Weather Policy below) will be rescheduled where possible.


2. Weather, Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

Weather Requirements:

  • Wind speed must be below 35 km/h.
  • No storm warnings should be in effect.
  • Air temperature must be above 15°C.
  • The hirer is responsible for monitoring weather conditions and rescheduling if necessary using the booking manager.

  • On the day of hire, check live weather updates: BOM Radar

SCBH reserves the right to cancel or cut short a hire due to unsafe weather or mechanical failure. If a cancellation occurs, SCBH will provide a reschedule option.


3. Safety & Induction

  • All participants must watch the Power Boat Induction Video before hire: Induction Video
  • The hirer must ensure that all skippers and crew have watched and understood the induction before boarding.
  • The driver must understand all NSW maritime laws; failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of hire.

Man Overboard & Emergency Procedures

  • All guests must be briefed on emergency procedures.
  • The hirer must not allow unbriefed guests to operate the vessel.


4. Trip Planning & Return Procedure

  • Notify someone of your trip details before departure.
  • Instruct them to contact emergency services (000) if you do not return on time.
  • Inform them when you return safely or if delayed.


5. Vessel Inspection & Incident Reporting

  • Inspect the vessel before boarding to ensure all equipment is present and the vessel is seaworthy.
  • Report any missing or damaged equipment before departure.
  • All incidents (accidents, breakdowns, injuries, or equipment loss) must be reported via text to 0414 260 078.

6. Departure Location & Facilities

  • Pick-up & Drop-off: Maliyawul St Wharf, Lilyfield, NSW 2040 (next to Le Montage on The Bay Run).
  • Parking: All-day parking available nearby.
  • Facilities: No toilets onboard; use restrooms near the pontoon before departure.
  • Map: Google Maps Location


7. Responsibilities & Liability

  • The hirer is responsible for the safety of all passengers at all times.
  • The hirer must follow all NSW Maritime regulations and navigation rules.
  • SCBH provides a vessel deemed suitable for hire; however, unforeseen rough conditions may arise without warning.
  • Navigation is the sole responsibility of the hirer.
  • The hirer waives any claims against SCBH for damages or injuries due to faulty navigation, rough conditions, or unsafe practices.
  • The hirer agrees not to tamper with, damage, or remove any equipment from the vessel. Any damage caused must be paid for, with a $1000 minimum insurance claim applied if necessary.


8. Additional Notes

  • The boat is BYO food and drink.
  • You may stop at Sydney Fish Market or Birkenhead Point for supplies.
  • For last-minute updates, text 0414 260 078 the day before your hire.
